Our story
Hi! We’re Sumer and Hugo, founders of The Marriagehood.We’re not therapists or counselors. We’re just a real couple who’ve been married for nearly 27 years, raised four children, and walked through just about every season of life, love, and marriage together.We’ve had our share of hard conversations, deep repairs, and plenty of trial and error trying to figure things out as we went.We’ve taught birth classes to hundreds of couples, and over the years we’ve seen how easily relationships can fade into the background — buried under careers, kids, stress, routines, or just plain exhaustion.That’s why we created Marriagehood: to talk about the stuff that makes marriage hard, the stuff that makes it hot, and the stuff no one teaches you how to handle.Whether you’ve been married two minutes, two years, or two decades, we hope you’ll find something here that strengthens your foundation, deepens your connection, and adds a whole lot more fun to your relationship.
